Linux and microsoft

Read a transcript of Andrew Morton's speech at Ottawa Linux Symposium 2004. Very interesting and fun. Also had a look at an article in newsweek about Micorosfts patent portfolio.
Maybe the only solution for Linux is if a mayor player buys Suse or Red Hat. A player with lots of patents. Anyone?

Had a look at a new .net book at oreilly, Mono: A Developer's Notebook. The sample chapter looks really nice.
